Our Canadian-farmed Giant Mealworms are raised under carefully maintained conditions and gut loaded with fresh, nutritious foods to help ensure they arrive healthy and ready to feed.
Storage & Care
For maximum longevity, Giant Mealworms are best kept refrigerated. Cooler temperatures slow their development and help keep them in the larval stage longer.
Periodically provide a small amount of fresh moisture-rich food, such as carrot or potato, to help keep the mealworms hydrated and nourished. Remove old or spoiled food as necessary.
Feeding Information
Giant mealworms are a nutritious feeder but should generally be offered as part of a varied and balanced diet appropriate for your animal. Because mealworms have a relatively high fat content, they should not be relied upon as the sole food source.
For additional nutrition, Giant Mealworms can be gut loaded and dusted with an appropriate vitamin or mineral supplement before feeding.
