Description
Reefpearls – Plankton-Mimicking Coral & Filter Feeder Food
Reefpearls are highly nutritious plankton-mimicking feeding pellets designed for corals and other filter-feeding marine animals. Their neutral buoyancy allows the particles to remain suspended in the water column, providing an extended feeding opportunity similar to naturally occurring plankton.
Reefpearls contain microencapsulated particles that remain stable in the water column for approximately 4–24 hours, with minimal nutrient leakage.
Key Features
- Designed to mimic natural zooplankton
- Excellent for corals and other filter feeders
- Neutral buoyancy helps particles remain suspended
- High nutritional value
- Very low inorganic phosphate (PO4)
- Microencapsulated for reduced nutrient leakage
- Extended feeding availability
- Can be dosed manually or with an automatic fish feeder
- Produced in the European Union
Available Particle Sizes
5–200 µm: A mixture of extremely small particle sizes designed to mimic naturally occurring plankton.
500–1000 µm: Larger particles suitable for animals capable of capturing larger food particles.
Feeding Directions
Feeding frequency and quantity will depend on the type and number of corals and filter feeders in your aquarium, as well as total aquarium volume.
As a general guideline:
- Photosynthetic corals: Feed approximately 2 times per day.
- Non-photosynthetic corals: Feed approximately 6–12 times per day.
- Begin with approximately 1/5–1/4 teaspoon per feeding for every 350–500 L (92–132 US gal) of aquarium water.
Once your corals have adjusted to the feeding routine, the amount can gradually be increased as required.
Continue feeding fish and other aquarium inhabitants their normal high-quality flake, pellet and/or frozen foods.

Water Quality
Due to the high nutritional value of Reefpearls and the potential for frequent feeding, regularly monitor nitrate (NO3) and phosphate (PO4) levels. Adjust feeding amounts as necessary to maintain appropriate water quality.
