Live Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) – Canadian-Farmed Feeder Insects
Regular Mealworms (Tenebrio molitor) are one of the most popular and versatile live feeder insects for reptiles, amphibians, birds, arachnids and other insect-eating pets.
Typically measuring approximately 0.5–0.75 inches in length, regular mealworms are smaller than Giant Mealworms and Superworms, making them an excellent choice for smaller animals or pets that require a more manageable feeder size.
Mealworms provide a natural source of protein and fat and can be gut loaded and dusted with appropriate vitamin and mineral supplements to further enhance their nutritional value.
Canadian Farmed & Gut Loaded
Our Canadian-farmed Mealworms are raised under carefully maintained conditions and gut loaded with fresh, nutritious foods to help ensure they arrive healthy and ready to feed.

Storage & Care
For maximum longevity, Mealworms are best kept refrigerated. Cooler temperatures slow their development and help keep them in the larval stage longer.
Provide small amounts of moisture-rich fresh food, such as carrot or potato, as needed. Remove old or spoiled food to help keep the culture clean.
Feeding Information
Mealworms should be offered as part of a varied, species-appropriate diet rather than as the animal's sole food source. Their relatively high fat content makes portion control particularly important for animals that are prone to weight gain.
Mealworms can also be gut loaded and dusted with appropriate calcium, vitamin or mineral supplements according to the nutritional requirements of your animal.
