Description
Add a rare and striking species to your collection with Cubaris sp. "Penguin" Isopods. Named for their distinctive appearance, these beautiful isopods feature a mostly black body with contrasting white rear segments and pale undersides, creating a unique "penguin" look.
Unlike many other isopods, Cubaris sp. "Penguin" prefer to spend much of their time burrowing beneath the substrate rather than basking on the surface. They are an excellent choice for humid bioactive terrariums and dedicated isopod cultures. Despite their uncommon appearance, they are considered a very prolific breeder when provided with the proper conditions.
Although originally collected separately from Cubaris sp. Pak Chong, many keepers believe this morph may represent a locality or dark variation of that species.
Each order includes 10 healthy juvenile Cubaris sp. "Penguin" Isopods.
