Designed for aquariums up to 400 US gallons (1,500 L), the Fluval FX6 High Performance Canister Filter delivers powerful multi-stage filtration for large freshwater and saltwater aquariums.

With a pump output of up to 925 US gal/h (3,500 L/h) and a generous 5.9 L biological media capacity, the FX6 combines high-capacity filtration with Fluval's Smart Pump™ technology, convenient maintenance features and customizable water flow.

Smart Pump™ Technology

Fluval's Smart Pump™ uses electronic monitoring to help maintain efficient filter operation. Once the filter is filled and plugged in, the system automatically handles the startup process.

The FX6 also pauses periodically to evacuate trapped air, helping maintain consistent operation.

High-Capacity Media System

The FX6 uses removable, stackable media baskets that provide dedicated space for mechanical, chemical and biological filter media.

With a total filtration volume of 20 L (5.28 US gal) and biological media capacity of 5.9 L (1.5 US gal), the FX6 provides substantial media capacity for large aquarium systems.

Easy Maintenance & Water Changes

The built-in purge valve makes draining and flushing the canister easier during routine maintenance.

The FX6 can also be used to assist with aquarium water changes by attaching suitable hosing to the filter output. Water-change accessories are sold separately.
