Fluker’s High-Calcium Mealworm Diet is a premium, veterinarian-formulated gut-loading diet designed to improve the nutritional value of live mealworms before they are offered to reptiles.
Mealworms naturally contain an inadequate calcium-to-phosphorus ratio for many reptiles. Feeding mealworms a nutrient-rich gut-loading diet before offering them as prey helps increase their calcium content and provides your reptile with nutrition from both the mealworm and its nutrient-rich gut contents.
Fluker’s High-Calcium Mealworm Diet has been formulated to establish a positive calcium-to-phosphorus ratio in live mealworms when fed as directed, helping support proper nutrition and healthy bone development in reptiles.
Feeding Guidelines
Add 1–2 inches of Fluker’s High-Calcium Mealworm Diet to the mealworm container and use it as their primary food source.
For optimal gut-loading and calcium intake, allow mealworms to feed on the diet for 48 hours before offering them to your reptile.
Replace the diet when it begins to break down and become dusty.
Important: Avoid adding sliced potatoes or other moisture sources during the gut-loading period, as these low-nutrition water sources may reduce the mealworms' consumption of the gut-loading diet.
If keeping mealworms for longer than one week, they may be refrigerated to slow their development into beetles.
