Containing aragonite, calcium, magnesium and carbonate, Eco-Complete helps buffer aquarium water and resist downward pH shifts commonly associated with African cichlid systems.

Its porous structure provides extensive surface area for beneficial bacteria, while the substrate comes packaged in a water-conditioning solution containing live bacteria to help establish biological filtration in new aquariums.
