Description
Armadillidium vulgare - T+ (positive) Albino Isopods 10+
T+ (positive) Albino, or Tyrosinase Positive albino isopods, are a cousin to the common Armadillidium vulgare. Tyrosinase is an enzyme that catalyzes the synthesis of melanin, which gives isopods (and human skin) their color. So while this color morph cannot produce the shades of onyx seen in the wild type, they can produce shades of orange to purple, often broken by ribbons of yellow.
Commonly referred to as roly polys due to their tendency to roll up into a ball when disturbed or threatened, A. vulgares roll into a complete ball with no gaps or spacing. Much like their common cousins, T+ albinos can tolerate slightly drier conditions, but do prefer a nice damp area in their gradient.
Each order placed contains a minimum of 12 well-established juvenile isopods!
