Exo Terra Forest Canopy 6500K LED Plant Growth Light
The Exo Terra Forest Canopy is an energy-efficient, self-ballasted LED plant growth light designed specifically for bio-active and planted terrariums. Its high visible light output helps create a bright, natural-looking environment for reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates while providing the light spectrum needed to support lush plant growth.
With a 6500K colour temperature, the Forest Canopy simulates the unfiltered sunlight conditions found in the upper layers of a tropical forest canopy. Its combination of high light intensity and carefully selected wavelengths provides strong Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) to support a wide variety of terrarium plants.
The light spectrum includes blue, green and red wavelengths along with traces of far-red, helping promote healthy development of leaves, stems and roots while supporting natural plant coloration and flowering.
The Forest Canopy is particularly well suited for orchids, bromeliads, Tillandsias (air plants), carnivorous plants, mosses and lichens, making it an excellent choice for tropical planted and bio-active terrariums.
In addition to supporting plants, the high level of visible light helps reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates perceive their surroundings and colours more naturally while enhancing the appearance of both animals and plants.
The base of the lamp can be rotated up to 300°, allowing the wide beam of light to be directed toward areas of the terrarium where additional plant growth or illumination is desired.
