Drosophila Melanogaster – Small

Drosophila melanogaster are the smaller of the two fruit fly species and reproduce relatively quickly. Their small size makes them an excellent feeder for very small animals and juveniles.

Drosophila Hydei – Large

Drosophila hydei are noticeably larger than Melanogaster, providing a larger food item while retaining the convenience of a flightless fruit fly culture. They generally reproduce more slowly than Melanogaster but are an excellent choice for animals requiring a larger feeder.
