They range into shades of yellow and red, starting off white and increasing their color as they age. - Cultures best on moderately damp soil substrate, though recently they have been kept in other media. The springtails are responsive to many types of food, including springtail food, Repashy morning wood, fish flakes and dried mealworms.
Not much is known about their natural habitat besides that they originate from Spain. - Strikingly orange with a voracious appetite. This species has been properly identified down to microscopic signatures to prove once and for all the species they belong to.
Once disturbed, Springtails will “spring” or jump several inches out of the way.
Be careful when handling or opening your culture! We suggest that you open the container in, or over, the terrarium.
