Live Springtails (Folsomia candida) are tiny soil-dwelling invertebrates commonly used as part of the cleanup crew in bioactive terrariums, vivariums and naturalistic enclosures.
Springtails feed on decaying organic material, fungi and mold, helping break down waste and maintain a healthier bioactive substrate. Once established, they reproduce within the enclosure and work alongside isopods and other beneficial decomposers.
