Lighting
Senecio kleiniiformis does best if placed in partial to full sun with a minimum of 2 hours direct sunlight per day.
Soil
Well drained such as regular mixes for cacti and succulents or a mixture of regular potting soil mixed with a variety of smaller gravel and sand. Let dry before watering again.
It grows slowly and produces attractive yellow flowers in early fall and summer. Identify it by its triangular spear-like leaves.
Temperature
Spear Head can be grown warm the year round. A winter rest period at 10 to 15 °C (50 to 59 °F) will be tolerated. Minimum temperature is 5 °C (41 °F).
